Hello all, we wanted to quickly share an update on Shannon's health and also some news about a project she has been working on. As we shared in our most recent blog, Shannon has been dealing with a myriad of health issues these last two years. She and our mom traveled to Baltimore, MD two weeks ago for testing at Johns Hopkins Hospital. Their experience at JH was incredible. Every single person they came in contact with was kind and compassionate. The trip in itself was very difficult, but their experience at Johns Hopkins made up for it! Shannon underwent three different tests throughout the week, the most revealing of which was a tilt-table test which diagnosed her with Postural Orthostatic Tachycardia Syndrome (POTS). Shannon will begin treatment with the POTS Treatment Center in Dallas (remotely from home) today. We are praying that the therapies she is introduced to through this center will be the beginning of healing for Shannon.
In the midst of her illness, Shannon had to lay aside her music because of extreme sensitivity to noise. But she did not stop creating. She has been painting and embroidering like crazy for the last year! She has shared her art with friends and family near and far and now wants to share it with you! She created a website and has a limited number of 2022 desktop calendars for sale. Please check out her website and read her story. Ever since she was very small, Shannon has been inspired by God's creation and this is what she endeavors to capture in her water colors.
Thanks for reading, dear friends. We pray that in this season of Christmas, you will know the love of Christ, "which surpasses knowledge, that you may be filled to all the fullness of God. Now to Him who is able to do far more abundantly beyond all that we ask or think, according to the power at work within us, to Him be the glory in the church and in Christ Jesus to all generations forever and ever. Amen." Ephesians 3:19-21
